Beeswax Furniture Polish

This cream is delightful and safe to use. We’re proud to report that it is becoming the polish-of-choice for museum conservators in the leading museums in North America. This is also a suitable finish for decorative painted surfaces. It is derived from a recipe given to us by Roger’s Mother Veronica in 1984. It is available in 4 sizes and comes in lavender or unscented.

Application instructions: Apply it very thinly with a tightly woven cotton cloth like a piece of old sheet or pillow case. A little goes a long way. Rub it out well. Leave it to dry for about five minutes, (The time depends on the air temperature and relative humidity), then buff it lightly for a delightful shine. From bare wood it will take three coats. If the piece just needs a lick of polish give it one light coat from time to time. Don’t overdue it. As Veronica puts it: “If you can’t relax at home, you can’t relax anywhere.”

Salad Bowl Finish

This is an edible finish for salad and fruit bowls, cutting boards, butcher’s blocks, kitchen cabinets, counter-tops (wood or stone), children’s toys and cribs. It is really easy to use. Apply it very thinly. You can use the bowl immediately afterwards if you like, or you can leave it overnight and then buff it with a cotton cloth for a nice soft shine. We recommend this finish for decorative painted surfaces. It is available in 3 sizes.

The leather dressing is made to conservator standards. This is not a polish, the dressing penetrates into the leather and makes it supple and waterproof.

Beeswax Hand Lotion

Design Hilary Morris, Vancouver. The beeswax in our lotion helps protect and soothe the skin. We offer it scented with natural essential oil of Lavender or Honeysuckle. It contains the healing agent Allantoin.
